give(away) thanks

The Holiday season is officially here, and like so many, I've been spending some time thinking about what I'm grateful for these days. The short answer is: a lot. I feel blessed in all aspects of my life, and I hope that's true for you, too.

For purposes of this post, I thought I'd give a rundown on some of the products and services I'm particularly grateful for. In conjunction with that, I'm doing a giveaway. And while you'll recognize some of the usual entry options, I'm going to ask for a bit more from you than I usually do. Most of the entry options entail signing up for one the programs I'm going to talk about. In the spirit of full disclosure: most of the programs provide me with an incentive if I get people signed up. But as with all reviews, opinions, and insight I provide on this blog, I won't recommend signing up for anything that I don't genuinely enjoy and enthusiastically endorse. And don't worry; if none of the programs interest you (or maybe you're already a member of all of them), you can still win! There are just more options available if you're in a position to try some new services.

Read on to find out about the programs I'm grateful for and details on the giveaway!

The Giveaway

To get credit for signing up as a new user of one of these programs, you need to email a screenshot to wendy (at) denouveaureview (dot) com showing that you signed up. The screenshot can be of a confirmation email or welcome screen--just something that shows you created a new account. Send a separate email for each entry, then fill out the requested information in the Rafflecopter widget below. Please be aware that any entry submitted through the widget that doesn't have a corresponding email is automatically disqualified. And sadly, only new users qualify. (Like I said--a little more work than you usually need to do for my giveaways, but hopefully it's worth it!)

So what am I giving away? I'm calling it a skincare bundle. It includes all this, valued in excess of $100:
Plus, a runner-up winner will receive a $50 Ulta gift card!

The Programs

Taylor Swift Tix
I've been spending a lot of time listening to Taylor Swift's new album. I haven't traditionally been a huge TSwift fan, but I enjoy a lot of her new stuff. Reputation has become a fast favorite to have playing in my car. I'm hoping to see her in concert this fall, and when you sign up for Taylor Swift Tix, I get a boost in line. Don't worry; you don't have to buy concert tickets (or anything else for that matter). Instead, you either log in with your Ticketmaster account or create a new one through my referral link, and once you provide your phone number, I get credit for the referral. And if you happen to also want to see Taylor in concert, you'll need an account anyway!
An old hobby that's been taking on a renewed role on my life lately is listing and sharing on Poshmark. It's a great way to make some cash, but I've also found quite a few steals shopping on Poshmark. Sign up with code WENDY_B and we each get a credit.

Speaking of cash, I recently decided it was time I take better control of my finances, including investing. I wasn't sure where to start, until I discovered Acorns. Their referral program includes a lot of technical jargon, so I'll let them do the talking. Check it out, and if it seems like something that would work well for you, sign up! You'll get $5 invested in your portfolio once you meet certain requirements.

Around the same time I started investing with Acorns, I started saving with Qapital. It's similar in concept to Digit, if you use/used that. I actually liked Digit better, but I pulled my money when they started charging. Qapital doesn't charge for use, at least as of now. My favorite thing about this savings app is that you can set several different goals to save toward. For instance, I have goals for individual vacations, for large purchases like a new laptop, and for recurring expenses like birthdays. You decide how much you want to save and how you want to save it. Qapital can automatically save a certain amount to the goal each week or month. It can round up your purchases and add the rounded amounts to the goal. It can save when you indulge in a guilty pleasure at a specified merchant. Think IFTTT meets your savings account. Sign up here and get a bonus toward your first goal.

Beauty Boxes
If you know me at all, you know that I'm a fan of makeup subscriptions. I have a lot of them, and as soon as I decide I should cancel one, they send something particularly exciting and I get sucked back in. The following are my favorite three, in order of preference. If one (or more) interests you, start subscribing and let me know what you think!

Glossybox is $21 a month. And while that's the most expensive subscription I have, it's my favorite. The literally glossy box and beautiful wrapping excites me when it arrives every month. I like how often I receive full-size products. And it's the best at introducing me to new brands. I also like that they periodically offer special-edition boxes that you can purchase separate from your subscription. Sign up through my link or with my code WENDY-R3L.

Ipsy is $10 a month and my next favorite. It's probably the best deal overall. While you don't often get full-size products, you get a makeup bag every month. I use the bags to hold things inside my purse, as gifts, or to include as bonuses when I make a Poshmark sale. The price point is great, and you get a lot of good products, some old favorites and some new ones to try. Sign up through this link

Birchbox is also $10 a month. I think of Birchbox as the original beauty box, and you can tell in how streamlined the site is. Like Glossybox, there are sometimes special-edition boxes you can grab. I think the products included are on par wth Ipsy, but of course Birchbox doesn't have the cute new bag each month. Sign up here.

I recently mentioned Ibotta in a blog post. While I still use it almost exclusively for grocery shopping, the app continues to add more ways to get cash back on items you're already buying. It's easy to browse by store and item category, find products that qualify for cash back, and scan your receipt to earn money. Sign up here or with code rybrqj.

Finally, I wanted to share a word about theSkimm. It's a daily email newsletter meant to keep you informed without taking up a lot of your day. I love it. In a world where the news never stops, I rely on theSkimm to feed me the important headlines in easily digestible bites. Sign up and see if you like it; you can always unsubscribe if you feel like it isn't a blessing for your inbox each morning (although honestly, I can't see how that will be the case).

Whether you're a fan of music, makeup, or money, I hope you found something that interests you. And don't forget to submit your giveaway entries below!

  1. Thanks for the giveaway. I am already a member of a lot of these, the ones I am interested in. Otherwise I would sign up and help you out. Thanks though.

  2. This is great stuff! I've been using Poshmark in selling and buying my things and I
am loving it. But just recently I'm having problem with tedious stuff. One of my friends suggested hiring a VA to free up my time from promotions and so that's what I did. And I did have a good result after doing so.. Plus it allows me to source more items. Check it out here:
Let me know your thoughts about this. Thanks. :)
