j'adore

It's February, and everyone seems to be in love. I'm no exception. Specifically, I'm loving these two products that I wanted to tell you about.

Maybe it's turning 30, maybe it's the harsh winter weather, but the last couple of weeks I've been feeling blah about my face. My eyes were puffy, my skin was blemished, and makeup never seemed to look right.

This week I turned that around by remembering one favorite product and discovering a second.

The first product I'm sending a Valentine to is Estée Lauder Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Treatment. It's just a little bottle, but it has a big heart. I had a new zit pop up on my neck last night, I applied this serum before bed, and the little bugger is almost gone today. That's not unusual, either. I typically give this treatment two nights (at the most three) to work its miracles, and it doesn't disappoint. The formula doesn't dry out your skin, which my skin is prone to do, but you do usually have to wash off the dried serum the next morning.

Next, in my January Ipsy bag, I got a sample size of pūr~lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum. The full-size retails for $65, which is steep, but the sample size has worked well for me all week. I haven't been sleeping well lately, and my under-eyes really betrayed me by letting that show. After a few days of using this product, I really noticed a difference this morning. I have a lot of under-eye wrinkles, and of course they didn't disappear, but they seem to be more shallow and less prone to trapping my foundation (thus avoiding that terrible cracking look). I also noticed less puffiness and tighter skin.

With these two products, I left the house feeling more confident in my makeup and, therefore, my appearance than I have for a couple of weeks now. And I loved it!

Man, now I have the Biebs stuck in my head. "'Cause if you like the way you look that much, oh baby you should go and love yourself."
